Ministry of Health NGO desk


The Ministry of Health`s NGO Desk acts as an “anchor” for the Ministry of Health in implementing the Framework for Relations between the Ministry of Health and Health/Disability Non-Government Organisations.

The role of the NGO Desk, in conjunction with the NGO Working Group, is to:
  • facilitate the relationship between the Working Group and the Health and Disability NGO Sector, and the Ministry - this happens in ways that enhance communications and the provision of quality accessible services to New Zealanders through the involvement of NGOs in policy formation and service development
  • disseminate information to the health and disability NGO sector.
